GE10km - 2nd Training

Weather was perfect for running, i.e. no sun and no rain, nice & cool for our target 4km run. We are blessed coz few days b4 the run had been raining, raining & hmm... raining... (Tot can "siam" the running for 1 week, haha..) Oops...

Our official photographer aka ivy "chiong" too much the nite b4 thus brought her camera without memory card. Thanks to the advance technology nowadays, we are all equipped with something called "camera phone". Heng ahh... So this week session gets to be recorded still.
This week, we tried off-track running - Target 5km as per the plan. Ivy has chosen a scenic route for this week session. We started with UOB Plaza the Big Bird statue...

Then Esplanade Park (risked our lifes to take some pic at the Floating stadium), Singapore Flyer, Millenium Walk, Suntec, City Hall, Funan, Boat Quay and back to UOB... According to unofficial measurement (i.e our feeling lah), the journey is about 3+km, not yet 4km..

Seriously, dun feel that the journey is that long.. Perhaps that's becoz the 3 of us ran, chatted and took some pics along the way, all in 1 breath.. Haha... That's why i was panting so much by the end of the run.

Our dear paparazzi trying her hands to be
"Wong Kar Wai" Style.. Not too bad for 1st try... Both of us look pretty in these pics... Haha....

Went for McDonald's breakfast after the run... But the gals went for shower before that, so I was left waiting for them in front of OUB building. Hoping to blow myself dry and the stinky smell away by the time they come down...

They are somewhere in this building.....
Yoohoo..... Can u hear me???? Waited very long liao leh....

GE 10km - 1st Training

The goody bag when i signed up @ Raffles Place

The sun shone brightly at Toa Payoh stadium this morning. A good kickoff to our first training for GE 10km. The constituent booked the place for a walk-a-jog event hence we had to use the outer lane of the track. Din noe TPY was such a happening stadium :P
To make life more interesting, i decided to try circuit training. That would take the boredom out of mere rounds around the track. Moreover, I read that circuit training is good to achieve both strength and cardio endurance.

After taking some pics, we started with 2 rounds of warm-up. Time taken: 7min 37sec.

Began our circuit training with "SUPERMAN". Did 1 exercise after every round for 4 times.

> Crunches (20 times)

> Planks (30sec)

> Pushup (20 times)

> Forgot the 5th exercise...hee

Finished up with 2 rounds of cool-down. We had clocked 3.2km for the 1st trg :)

Went to Charlene's place for a shower & treated ourselves to Dim Sum at Asia Garden (Bugis). Yum yum...it was a good lunch. Hee...whatever we burnt in the morning was very well-replenished. Anyway, hua hee jio ho..ehehheh *wink*
